Advocate Apparel Inspired by the spotted parrotfish (cetoscarus ocellatus)

While parrotfish come in many amazing colors and patterns, this print is inspired by a male, terminal phase spotted parrotfish, native to the Indo-Pacific. Considered the most effective reef grazer, parrotfish serve an important function in maintaining the health of coral reefs. In fact, a 2014 IUCN report surveyed the health of Caribbean coral reefs from 1970-2012 and found that one of the most impactful actions we can take to restore the health of coral reef habitat is to protect parrotfish!

If that isn’t reason enough to love these bright and beautiful fish, an individual poops up to 200 lbs of sand a year, a critical source of sediment for beaches! For example, in Vakkaru Island in the Maldives, a 2015 study found that over 85% of their beach sand had been produced by parrotfish!

Super comfy

I love how these feel, though it's hard hard to describe. Like very heavy silk maybe. They are super comfortable. Also, I'm a tall woman and these leggings can even stretch over my heels. The pattern looks exactly like the pictures.

Like skin

LOVE the Waterlust leggings and suit in the fashion of the parrot fish. I’m currently obese, a swimmer from my youth, and so so pleased to feel covered, protected, and kept warm as I lake swim and boulder sit to take in the sun, water, sky. Love these products, love what the company is doing in the world. Thank you!!

Great leggings

amazing!!

these leggings are super cute & very high quality. this is my second pair and i am hooked. i love everything about them - from the inclusive sizing, to the gorgeous fit, and the fact that you can self-tailor the length. for someone who is 5'1 i always struggle with leggings that are too long. it is so satisfying that i can make them fit my body :) THESE ARE EVERYTHING.

Must have for water life!

I now have 3 pairs of these leggings and I love them. They are super comfy and the benefit of being UPF 50 is great! I work on/in the water and these have been a great option instead of getting in a swimsuit (and having to sunscreen my legs!). They also make getting in and out of a wetsuit easier. These are my go-to leggings for anything in and around the water, kayaking, SUPing, snorkeling, boating- yup! I love the pockets and that items stay in them, even when submerged! I know WL is always improving the products- my one ask would be a reinforced area on the pocket to hold a pocket knife and a little loop somewhere to hook keys to.
