Note: I purchased the Abalone Restoration Reversible Top in a size S and the Fountain of Youth/Mermaid Camo Reversible Top in a size M, gave them both a chance for the whole summer, and am posting basically the same review for both now. I also got the shorts that match both of those and LOVE the shorts - the tops are a mixed bag for me. I think the tops run a little small compared to the size chart - I am 5'7" 140 lbs size 34B/C, and I can get the S on, but it is VERY tight and extremely hard to get back off. I only kept the S because I really wanted to be able to wear these tops for swimming and both sizes in the tops balloon, drag a ton, and sort of squish around when swimming, but the S does it slightly less so than the M. I would say the M is a no-go for swimming but great for other activities, whereas the S is definitely less comfortable for most activities, but might still be worth it if I want to be able to transition from swimming to jogging without needing to change into something else.
I loved the patterns, coverage, and support for marine conservation, and I thought this would be a great option for any activities by the water. I tried it out all summer long, and it's fine for playing with kids at the pool or beach, and even great for jogging and beach volleyball, but it is not swimwear, it's active wear, and I don't think that was super-clear from the advertising I saw and item description. The top feels like it's billowing like a sail if you try to actually swim in it. Functionally, this is basically a sports bra / supportive tank-top (and I do like that this item is better at not showing nipples through the fabric than those typically are). It's good for what it is, and would probably give it 4 stars for any other uses if it didn't include swimming in the description. If I had know this was not really for swimming and that an actual swim line was in the works, I probably would have held off making these purchases.
