A print in collaboration with Coral Morphologic, featuring zoanthid soft corals. Zoanthids are a type of colonial soft coral that form honeycomb-like mats of polyp clones that grow over rocks on the reef. Like little flower animals, zoanthids naturally follow the sun in style. They get most of their energy from the sun by hosting symbiotic algae in their tissues that feed them through photosynthesis.

Coral reefs contain the most diverse ecosystems on our planet. They provide vital shelter for marine organisms and help protect our coastlines from the damaging effects of coastal storms and waves.

Zoanthid corals can be found in most tropical water ecosystems, including the waters around the Caribbean as well as the Indian and Pacific Oceans. They form mats of polyps and are referred to as soft corals due to their lack of a calcium carbonate skeleton and fleshy structure.
Coral Morphologic is a Miami-based hybrid art/science endeavor. Their art and research aim to capture the beauty of Earth’s most fluorescent forms of life in hopes of inspiring future generations to study, preserve, and restore corals in their ever-changing habitat. 10% of profits from your purchase will go to Coral Morphologic, to continue their research into these vibrant lifeforms and further inspire others through their unique marriage of art and science.
“Waterlust is doing an incredible job translating the imagery of the underwater world into activewear that is both fashionable and eco-conscious, all while returning profits back to organizations protecting the natural resources we all love. Over the past several years of collaborating with Waterlust, sales of the CMxWaterlust garments have helped us raise critical funding that we've been able to use to advance our multimedia science/art projects like the Coral City Camera that help bring appreciation and public awareness to the surprising biodiversity of Miami's coastal corals and marine life.”

I own many of your sunsuits and 8” shorts. I have referred many friends who have become customers and purchased many items from you as gifts. The decline in quality (threads coming out of seams) and size accuracy (these were much smaller than another pair of your 8” shorts of the same exact size) was very disappointing. Your return & exchange process is very user friendly and I am in the middle of exchanging them.
HI Pamela! We are SO sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your latest shorts!! We have multiple stages of quality control, so any loose threads absolutely should not have been missed. Our sincerest apologies for that! We have been working with the same manufacturer for years, so there should be absolutely no decline in quality. Occasionally some threads needing trimming are missed in the first round of quality control due to human error, but we're typically always able to catch that as we check over the garment before shipping. I'm also sorry to hear you found the sizing to be different than your previous pair. Again, working with the same manufacturer and unchanged patterns this should not be the case and of course, we are more than happy to exchange them! In fact, it looks like your exchange order has already shipped out! Please reach out to us if you have any other questions, comments, or feedback and we'd be happy to help!
