The coral reef ecosystems that cover our globe provide essential food and habitat to over 25% of all marine life. The parrotfish is a common animal found among these ecosystems and are a crucial keystone species who are responsible for cleaning the corals from harmful algae. The abundance of parrotfish can be related directly to the health of our coral reef ecosystems.

While parrotfish come in many amazing colors and patterns, this print is inspired by a male, terminal phase spotted parrotfish, native to the Indo-Pacific. Considered the most effective reef grazer, parrotfish serve an important function in maintaining the health of coral reefs. In fact, a 2014 IUCN report surveyed the health of Caribbean coral reefs from 1970-2012 and found that one of the most impactful actions we can take to restore the health of coral reef habitat is to protect parrotfish!

If that isn’t reason enough to love these bright and beautiful fish, an individual poops up to 200 lbs of sand a year, a critical source of sediment for beaches! For example, in Vakkaru Island in the Maldives, a 2015 study found that over 85% of their beach sand had been produced by parrotfish!
Your support helps Reef Relief improve and protect our coral reef ecosystem through education, advocacy, and grassroots community efforts. They have a wide variety of programs educating the public about coral reefs and encouraging community action, including school programs, their Coral Camp for kids, organized clean-ups, stenciling storm drains to discourage dumping, as well as policy work with their straw and sunscreen campaigns.

these leggings are super cute & very high quality. this is my second pair and i am hooked. i love everything about them - from the inclusive sizing, to the gorgeous fit, and the fact that you can self-tailor the length. for someone who is 5'1 i always struggle with leggings that are too long. it is so satisfying that i can make them fit my body :) THESE ARE EVERYTHING.
I now have 3 pairs of these leggings and I love them. They are super comfy and the benefit of being UPF 50 is great! I work on/in the water and these have been a great option instead of getting in a swimsuit (and having to sunscreen my legs!). They also make getting in and out of a wetsuit easier. These are my go-to leggings for anything in and around the water, kayaking, SUPing, snorkeling, boating- yup! I love the pockets and that items stay in them, even when submerged! I know WL is always improving the products- my one ask would be a reinforced area on the pocket to hold a pocket knife and a little loop somewhere to hook keys to.
Very comfortable material, moves well. Very excited to use them more in and out of the water!
The colors are very bright and beautiful, and as always so comfortable.
I love the way these fit, feel and look. I am awaiting my next pair.
I love these leggings - beautiful design, fantastic fit, strong construction, pockets are great! Not to mention that my heart is so happy buying a product that's keeping single use plastics from ending up in our oceans and landfills, and also supporting ocean conservation through research and education!! WaterLust - you all ROCK!! Will be living in them both in and out of the water! I am 5'6" 155lbs and ordered M, and they fit great, snug and comfortable. Looking forward to ordering more in different designs :)
