Coral Conservation Leggings

Stony corals are essential reef-builders that form the foundation and framework for coral reef ecosystems. They do this by using calcium and carbonate ions in seawater to create limestone skeletons like the one this print is inspired by. These structures are home to some of the most biologically diverse habitats on Earth and help protect coastal communities from storms and hurricanes.

Advocate Apparel Inspired by Coral Reefs

Coral reefs are critical underwater ecosystems that host and support a dazzling array of marine life and play a vital role in protecting coastlines from erosion, supporting fisheries, and driving tourism. These vibrant and biodiverse habitats are essential for maintaining the health of our oceans and sustaining both marine and human communities. Protecting coral reefs is key to safeguarding the balance of life in our oceans and ensuring a sustainable future.

The most significant problem facing coral reefs is black and white: climate change.

Climate change is exerting devastating impacts on coral reefs, primarily through rising sea temperatures and ocean acidification. Elevated sea temperatures lead to coral bleaching, where corals expel their symbiotic algae, causing them to lose their vibrant colors and leaving the corals weak and susceptible to diseases. Additionally, increased atmospheric carbon dioxide levels are driving ocean acidification, which hinders the ability of corals to build their calcium carbonate skeletons. These combined stressors make corals more susceptible to diseases and hinder their ability to recover from physical damage, posing a significant threat to these vital marine ecosystems and the rich biodiversity they support.

Most Incredible Product for an Even More Incredible Cause!

Wow... I am so in love with these leggings. I am 5'8" & size 28 waist and they fit perfectly! Sit perfectly on my hips and still so much extra length to wrap around my heels.

Wendy Frezza (Jupiter, FL, US)

I swam in my new leggings for the first time this morning and they were awesome! It was a chilly south Florida winter morning and they were perfect. So cute too😀

Great Quality

I wore the skins and matching bra every day on a recent dive trip and they are fabulous! No more endlessly reapplying sunscreen, they fit great, and they are wonderful quality. Pockets!

Another pair of Waterlust leggings that doesn’t disappoint

I’ve bought several other patterns of Waterlust leggings over the years. I’ve never been disappointed and the coral pattern is no exception! They’re durable, comfortable, beautiful, have large pockets, dry quickly, and are all around my favorite brand of leggings for both in and out of the water.

Runs small and long

I ordered the next size up from my normal size (not my first purchase from you) and they’re still pretty tight, but the length really bothers me. While not bad enough to return, it’s annoying that I’ll have to roll them up. I’m 5’6”, so a regular sized woman, I think. I like the pattern and the pockets. The rise could be a little higher as well.

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for taking the time to send us this feedback! I have passed it on to the design team so we can look into how to make finding the right fit easier!

For the length - all of our leggings and full body sun suits are designed with an adjustable inseam and raw hem. There are internal bar tacks at various inseam lengths so you can easily customize each pair to your desired length. Some people like keep theirs long though to wear over their heels and inside dive booties/water shoes. Here is a link that further explains how to adjust the inseam length (however, they can not be returned if they have been cut). https://waterlust.com/pages/faq#reamaze#0#/kb/product-information/how-do-i-adjust-the-length-or-inseam-of-my-leggings

I hope this helps! Shoot us an email at hello@waterlust. com if you have any other questions or concerns about your new gear. Thanks again for the feedback!
