Perfection!

It’s my second leggins, the first one I ordered in size M and was too loose on the waist (but fitting my thighs) and it didnt have the pockets yet. I ordered this one in size S and it fits perfectly, waist AND thigh!! The design is beautiful and the pockets are a big plus. Can’t wait to go diving!!!

Even better than I hoped!!

This is my first of I know many pairs to come. I LOVE THESE LEGGINGS!! The print, the quality, the fit, the cause...so perfect! I’m working towards DM and can’t wait to wait these in the pool next week for an OW class. Oh and I’m 5’5, 125(ish), usually a size S/4 in clothes, 8 in swim/wetsuits and the Strong is perfect.

My all-time favorite pair of leggings

These Leggings are my go-to. Just when I thought these leggings couldn't get any better, WL improved the durability of them and added POCKETS! I work on and in the water every day, and have truly put these leggings to the test. The fabric is so durable and doesn't fade with salt or sun. They are comfortable wet or dry and I don't get that antsy feeling to get out of them when they are wet. They seem to dry relatively fast and keep my skin warm with just a simple layer in the water. These leggings are also great for helping slide into that thick winter wetsuit. If not in the water, these leggings are great for workouts, runs, lounging, or traveling. I absolutely love them, I guess that is why I have at least 8 pairs....

Also, In regards to the customizable length I have would never dare to take scissors to such a masterpiece, but if you wish to adjust the length temporarily, it is quite easy. I pull the leggings from my shin area upward, so that the bottom seam is to the length I want. I then take the extra material bagged up around my knee/upper shin, and fold it over towards the bottom seam. It is easy, doesn't have to be readjusted throughout the day, and not a huge commitment!

Sizing reference:
Height 5'6, Weight 170 lbs, and I wear a (L)egendary

Almost great

They look great, feel supportive on my legs, nice thick material, beautiful pattern, but... the waistline rolls down and the sound they make during yoga class is like corduroy.

Hi Erica - thanks for providing your feedback! Interesting about the sound, that's the first we've heard of that and haven't experienced that ourselves, I wonder what could be causing that. With regards to fit, it's possible we may be able to find a better fit for you with a size up if you're having issues with the waist rolling down, as that shouldn't be happening. We'd be happy to chat about this further if you'd like to reach out to us at hello@waterlust.com :)

ADVOCATE APPAREL INSPIRED BY one of the ocean's largest predators,THE tiger SHARK (galeocerdo cuvier)

Shark Research and Conservation Program Logo10% of profits from your purchase will go directly toward the Shark Research and Conservation (SRC) Program at the University of Miami, helping to fund important research focused on the ecology, movement and conservation of tiger sharks as well as other local shark species. In addition to research, the SRC program is actively aimed at student education and community outreach through extensive citizen science and internship programs.

Tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier) are classified by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as “Near Threatened”, and thus, research, education and outreach is essential to ensuring healthy populations. As one of the ocean’s largest predators, these critical species sit at the top of the food chain, helping to regulate the delicate balance of populations of those beneath in the ecosystem. Decreased populations can result in trophic cascades, impacting the abundance and behavior of other species lower on the food chain. Multiple research methods have shown that some species of sharks have declined in population by 90% or more during the last several decades in areas where they were formerly abundant. These declines are due to direct targeting in commercial fisheries, mostly for their fins and sometimes meat. Additionally, sharks are often caught unintentionally as bycatch in many other fisheries, caught and killed in some recreational fisheries (unlike catch and release), and may also be impacted by humans more indirectly through threats like habitat loss, pollution, and human-driven declines in the fish species sharks rely on for food.

Sharks have been in the ocean for more than 450 million years. Granted, they’ve evolved a bit since then, but they’ve survived five major extinction events! Help us to celebrate these amazing animals, support research to inform management of their populations, and use your gear as a conversation piece to educate others.

Learn more about some of the research conducted by the Shark Research and Conservation Program. This Waterlust video explains the findings of a paper published in the scientific journal of Diversity and Distributions entitled "Use of marine protected areas and exclusive economic zones in the subtropical western North Atlantic Ocean by large highly mobile sharks."

The study investigated the core home habitat use of bull, great hammerhead and tiger sharks tagged in waters off south Florida and the northern Bahamas to understand if these highly mobile shark species might benefit from spatial protection, such as marine protected areas (MPAs).
