Black Circularity Leggings

Educational resources included with every purchase. Learn more.

Like you, our leggings are amphibious, meaning they are equally at home underwater or on land. Whether protecting your skin from UV radiation at the beach, wicking away sweat and heat at the gym, or hugging your bodacious bits in all the right ways while sipping nay nay on the couch (#nojudgement), these are the most versatile pants on the planet. And yes, they have pockets.

Made from post-consumer bottles AND old textiles through our Take-Back Program. We collect your old clothes, put them in a wood chipper (joking…kinda), and convert them into fiber, then fabric, then back into brand new clothing. Because textile waste comes in different colors, the resulting recycled fiber ends up looking brown, like a child finger-painting with ALL the colors at once kind of brown. Yuk! To fix this mess, the fibers are dyed black during the recycling process.

    1. Raw hem and internally stitched bar-tacks allow for customizable inseam lengths of 31”, 29”, 27”, 25”, and 23”. Crop to 7/8ths length or customize for your height. Learn how here.
    2. Streamlined pockets on the side of both legs for your phone, wallet, snacks, or sunscreen
    3. UPF 50+ sun protection (max rating available)
    4. Fibers mechanically engineered for quick dry, moisture-wicking, and breathability
    5. Resilient 4-way stretch and recovery for shape retention in and out of the water
    6. Tag-less, wide waistband for comfort, added security and fold-over option
    7. 100% chlorine, sun, saltwater and sunscreen resistant
  • 88% Repreve® RPET (recycled polyester made from recycled clothing and post-consumer plastic bottles), 12% spandex

Apparel that supports textile recycling

According to the EPA, 87% of apparel textiles are not recycled annually in the United States, meaning millions of tons of old clothes are piled into landfills every year. While recycling infrastructure exists for things like plastic bottles and aluminum cans, textile recycling is far less developed and accessible. This is a missed opportunity because the raw materials within some kinds of clothing (like ours!) can be used to create entirely new fabric, as long as it’s done carefully. By purchasing products made from recycled textiles, you are financially supporting the infrastructure that enables recycling to happen and signaling to manufacturers that you value circularity.

In the world of environmentally responsible fabrics, we think there are two clear leaders from an end-of-life perspective: those that are entirely made from natural fibers, and those made entirely of synthetic fibers. 100% natural fabrics like organic cotton are beneficial because they are biodegradable and recyclable, while 100% synthetic fabrics are beneficial because they are recyclable. Fabrics that blend natural and synthetic fibers together are not currently biodegradable or recyclable with today’s technology, which is why we don’t make them.

These are so comfy! I have the parrotfish print too… they’re snug and slim you down without being constricting….

Love these leggings

Bought these leggings for kayaking. They are great! They keep me cool & they're very comfortable. Nice and long too ... since I'm 5'11" I sometimes gave issues getting things long enough.

Happy swimmer

I thoroughly enjoyed the use of leggings. As a matter of fact they were quite fashionable. The fit for me was true to size. I plan on buying more.

As Fantastic As All The Other Leggings!

I just received my first order of these leggings, and I love them! The feel and fit of these leggings is just as fantastic as all the others with designs (I pretty much live in them, using them for the working out, going out to the beach, kayaking, wading, bouldering, hiking, and even couch-potatoing). The color is a true black with a super nice finish and they go with everything! Thanks, Waterlust, for completing my wardrobe!

Consistently awesome

I've ordered a bunch from Waterlust before and am never disappointed. This purchase was no exception. I use their leggings mostly for fly fishing - either under my waders or for wet wading. Also for hiking, exercise, kayaking. With so many choices in outdoor apparel, it's easy to choose Waterlust products for the quality, price point, and morals of the company. If you're considering purchasing, just do it.
