Designed for diving, snorkeling, swimming, surfing, kiting, winging... you get the idea. If the ocean is your happy place but you recognize the importance of skin protection, these suits are for you! Versatile too - wear it alone or as a base layer to help you easily slip in and out of your wetsuit on those colder days.
Characteristic spots and stripes adorn the largest fish in the sea forming an intricate pattern, like a warrior painted for battle. Scientists use these distinctive markings to identify individual whale sharks. Like a fingerprint, each is as unique and special as the last.
Our signature fabric is sleek, soft, and luxurious, while strong, substantial, and resilient. It’s got a gummy, supportive, and smoothing stretchiness you’ll love, comfortably hugging you in all the right places.
Main fabric: 88% Repreve® RPET (recycled polyester made from post-consumer plastic bottles), 12% spandex

Whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) are fish, not whales - allowing them to hold the esteemed title of "largest fish in the sea" (since sharks are fish too!). These charismatic creatures can reach lengths of 12 meters (40 feet) or more! Despite their large size, they feed on some of the smallest organisms in the sea, plankton. Hanging vertically in the water column they're able to suction feed and filter these tiny organisms through their gill rakers much like a giant vacuum cleaner pulls dust and dirt from a kitchen floor, filtering the fragments into its chamber within.
Unfortunately, approximately 100 million sharks are killed every year by humans, through direct targeted fishing efforts as well as unintended bycatch from other fisheries. The whale shark is one species of shark that is particularly vulnerable to this commercial fishing due to their high value in international trade, in addition to their highly migratory nature and normally low abundance. Research into the lives of these gentle giants can help us to manage their populations and keep these magnificent fish in the ocean where they belong.
The Marine Megafauna Foundation is helping to shed light on the population structure, migratory patterns, and the conservation requirements of these threatened sharks. Created in 2009, they aim to research, protect and conserve the large populations of marine megafauna (large marine species) found along the Mozambican coastline. Almost all whale sharks encountered by divers are juveniles and most are males. Where the school-bus-sized mature sharks swim, what they eat, and where the females give birth has long been a mystery, however their team is now very close to making these discoveries. 10% of profits from your purchase will go to the Marine Megafauna Foundation for satellite tags that are needed to track the movements of these large female whale sharks.
“Waterlust's support provides critical seed funding for us to rapidly develop and implement whale shark conservation projects in areas where this globally-endangered species is most at risk. This includes Mozambique, where our research and awareness work helped the government decide to fully protect whale sharks just a few weeks ago. We love working with a company that is so committed to making a positive change in the world.”

I just used this diving in Bonaire and was warm as could be, given the water temp was 85 degrees (not good for the reef unfortunately). Beautiful suit. I was hoping to use it in Cabo/Sea of Cortez snorkeling with whale sharks in October, but the whale sharks aren't arriving until December now. Also sad, and proof that these magnificent creatures are under stress and threat.
I love my new full body swim suit. I’ve been swimming laps in long sleeves for years to avoid skin damage. This suit is light enough that I’ll be able to have full body movement (unlike my scuba suit, and it is oh so beautiful! I purchased the swim top to go under it, and a pair of briefs elsewhere so I can put on my full suit once I get to the water, and peel it off after my swim when I’m heading back to my hotel. I can’t wait to get to Hawaii and put it on! I really appreciated seeing real body women wearing the suits to help me choose the correct size. The Medium is perfect for my body. Thanks!
I Love this suit. I love that my purchase has a purpose. I haven’t worn this yet, I purchased in preparation for a trip.
I’m 5’10”, my measurements are 35/32/43 and I purchased the Mighty size. The fit is absolutely perfect. It’s a good quality material with comfortable stretch.
I would like to note that I’m tall with long legs. My inseam is about 35.5”, and the legs of this suit stop right above my ankle. I do wish it had a little more length on the legs. Also stirrups for the feet, which could help if wearing under an exposure suit.
Nonetheless I love it and will be purchasing other patterns. I really hope some of the other patterns make their way to the full body sunsuit category!
Hi%2C thank you for the wonderful sunsuit%21 It’s stretchy%2C comfy and fish to be friendlier when I go down wearing it%3A%29%29. I’ll be purchasing future items%2C but probably to be delivered in the States or Singapore%2C the import tax in Indonesia is crazy. Keep up the good work%21 Irina%0D%0A
The items I ordered came very quickly which was a little surprising as it had to go through customs first. The garments fit as described on the online guide and the patterns are very nicely matched. The material is lovely thick quality. Have to wait for my holiday to use them now.
I ordered this suit after I had the pleasure of diving with these magnificent creatures. It fits well, is well made, and I love that it is made from recycled plastic bottles.
