Great feel and color, but a bit tight

It looks and feels really nice but it was a bit tight on me. I wear a 36 C and the sizing chart said I should get a L/XL as I was just barely in that range. I can put it on but I takes a lot of effort so I would recommend buying a size bigger than the sizing chart.

Not great for DD

I like the idea of supporting this company and am always on the lookout for good sport bras/ swim tops. This one falls a little short for someone with large breasts as it just creates the uniboob If I had bought a larger size I don’t think it would provide any support and support is minimal. For reference I bought the XL and I wear a 38DD in most bras

Beauty and Quality!

Love the burgundy color and the print sides! The fabric will stretch in all directions. I am probably a 36 DD since putting on some pandemic pounds and ordered the medium. I am hesitant to try ordering the larger size because the straps on the medium are hitting in the right spot without really being stretched too far and the size feels right around my rib cage. I think the
Large would be too long on my rib cage. With the Medium, after stretching the fabric in all directions over my breasts, I still have some spillage, and don't feel like I am covered enough to wear the bra as a bikini top or alone for working out...but I think it would be fine under a shirt. It gives me medium support and feels comfortable. My goal is to be able to show it off after I shed the pandemic 10. :-) For reference, I am 5 ft 2 in and about 145lbs, short waisted too.

Good but...

The top isn't made for large breasts. I feel like it's compressing them too much. Maybe a little more flexibility in the breast area would help. But I do love your company, products, and your reasons for being.

Amazing fabric, poor plus size design

The fabric quality completely blew me out of the water! It's soft, thick, supportive and I don't have to worry about underboob sweat in my Houston summer weather (I sweat less in this too and any sweat evaporates quickly).

The biggest problem is that the design pattern doesn't seem to have adjusted for plus size proportions. The straps were crazy long and there was not enough fabric in the front panel. I can wear the piece as a bra but absolutely not on its own, which is a real shame.

Curvy Girl Review

This was a little out of my budget, but I loved it (and the good cause it supports) enough to splurge. Because it’s reversible, you basically get two tops for the price of one. I bought this top with the matching leggings, and then also bought the Spotted Eagle Ray leggings. The maroon on the reversible side of this top matches the Spotted Eagle Ray leggings perfectly.

I am 5’4” 200 lbs and I wear a 36DD bra. I bought the L/XL top. It fits fine when I’m just standing still, but anytime I bend or move, the top rolls up the whole way around because of my belly. It’s annoying and then I’m left tugging on it, only for it to roll up again a minute later. I “fixed” it by folding the bottom of it up inside so it’s more the length of a normal sports bra. So far, that’s been a good solution for me, and there’s still plenty of coverage overall since the leggings are very high rise. My advice to the creators would be to offer this in a shorter length as well, or make tanks/tees in solid colors that coordinate with the leggings.

Hi Erica - thanks so much for taking the time to provide your feedback! We'll definitely take all of that into consideration and appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

ADVOCATE APPAREL INSPIRED BY the invasive lionfish (Pterois volitans & Pterois miles)

The issue

Lionfish in their native range, from the South Pacific to the Red Sea, are an important part of the coral reef ecosystem and population numbers are kept in check through natural processes.

However, they are non-native to the Atlantic ocean and have become established as a harmful invasive species in this region, posing a significant threat to local marine ecosystems due to widespread predation on native species, prolific reproduction, and lack of controlling predators. Humans must intervene to reduce their impact in the invaded waters, and our Invasive Lionfish collection exists to promote action and awareness on this issue.

Reported Lionfish Sightings 1985 - January 8, 2020

Beginning in the 1980's, two visually identical species of lionfish (Pterois miles and Pterois volitans) were introduced into the Atlantic via the US aquarium trade and have become the first non-native marine fish to become established in the Atlantic. Over the past decade, invasive lionfish densities in these non-native areas have exploded, as they have been documented along the entire US East Coast from Florida through Massachusetts, east to Bermuda and south throughout the Caribbean. The expansion has been extremely rapid and exponential in scope.

Reef Environmental Education Foundation REEF Logo

Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF)’s Invasive Species Program has been at the forefront of the lionfish invasion since the arrival of the species in Florida in 2006, and 10% of profits from your purchase goes to this program. REEF’s efforts have included laying the groundwork for developing early detection and rapid response plans to mitigate the impacts, training resource managers and dive operators in effective collecting techniques, and conducting innovative research to better understand what has made Indo-Pacific lionfish the perfect invader.

REEF was founded in 1990 out of growing concern about the health of the marine environment, and the desire to provide the public ways to contribute to the understanding and protection of marine populations. Visit www.REEF.org to learn more.
