Advocate Apparel Inspired by the Floridan Aquifer and springs

Florida evokes daydreams of white sandy beaches and palm trees – but perhaps the most magnificent water in Florida lies just out of sight. In the Sunshine State, water fills the limestone cavities of the Floridan aquifer beneath our feet. This is the source of drinking water for 92% of Floridians. But this water is not always hidden - where it finds its way to the surface, it forms marvelous freshwater springs, which support not only human life in Florida but also incredibly diverse and unique aquatic ecosystems. In fact, Florida is home to the highest density of freshwater springs in the world – more than 1,000 of them dot the karst landscape of the sunny peninsula.

Unfortunately, increasing development and growing pressures on water resources are having negative impacts on Florida’s springs. Over the past 15 or 20 years, Florida’s burgeoning population has had a plethora of consequences for the springs, namely decreases in flow due to over-pumping and a transition from native underwater grasses to nasty algae. Nitrate levels in the springs have skyrocketed and ecosystem dynamics have changed as food webs are altered.

Wonderful

It's super comfy and has great coverage for a plus sized top!

Great material and design but missing paddings

Loved the cause and the vibrant prints. Was planning on getting multiple sets, but gave up the thought after realising the top comes without paddings.
Definitely not something you can wear (even with a rash guard on top) in conservative cultures.

Perfect Diving Top

I love the comfort, security, and style of this top. It’s perfect for diving, secure but not too tight (true to size) and not too thin, super comfortable, and pretty. The reversible is a great bonus.

Totally amazing

I waited far to long to try these out, (top and leggings as an outfit), now I don't know what I did without them! They fit great and were perfect for going under my scuba wetsuit and for kayaking and freediving. Their intended use is an extra layer under my wetsuit in the winter for California scuba diving, warm water freediving exposure protection that doesn't inhibit deep abdominal breathing, and then just water sports in general. The material is nice and thick, stitching seems sturdy. They definitely look like they will hold up better than the other leggings I've tried, although what really convinced me is the recycled material they're made of.

Holds up

I wore this for all kinds of activities in Belize. It held up and is so cute. It’s generously cut, so be prepared for the low scoop neck—not a lot of coverage. I’d love to see a Tankini top with a bit of a higher neck—I didn’t need to get the full sun suit, so more coverage of my midriff and chest would have been great. But this does what it’s supposed to! I’m 5’5”, 155 lbs and wear a 34C. I got an M but exchanged it for an L because the M was too tight.

I was hesitant, but I love them!

I had the leggings for a long time before I bought one of these tops. I was not sure ~what~ would be visible through the fabric. As someone who doesn't like single-ply swimwear tops, I was a little concerned that these wouldn't fit the bill for me, but then I ordered 2 to match leggings, and huzzah! They are great! These stay on securely for waves or movement, they are comfortable to wear all day and dry fairly quickly! The fabric is double-layered, so there is a bit of coverage. I love that there are no ties- nothing poking me in the back or pressing on my neck. I wear these for swimming or under a sun shirt, for personal and professional water activities. From boating to swimming these are my go-to.
I'm eagerly looking forward to a WL bikini option!
