Love the Print but Could be Better

The print is amazing! I got soooo many compliments on it. The leggings are long enough! I am 6'0" so this is exciting. There is a seam down the front middle that can cause camel toe. The seams on the inside arent tacked down and can get a bit uncomfortable. Overall good leggings.

Love love love

The moment I opened the package and felt the quality of this product I couldn’t wait to try them on. Once I got them on I realized that I had to exchange them bc to my surprise they were a little big (but I’m ok with that 😉) The exchange process was so easy. Didn’t have to pay for shipping and didn’t even have to find a package to ship them in bc the one I received them in was reusable 🌎. I got emails every step of the way, when they were received, when they were shipped, and when they were delivered. Service is top notch! Back to the leggings, I plan on wearing them as a skin when I go diving but in the meantime I think I found my new favorite workout leggings ( I have a feeling my legging drawer will soon need an upgrade) the fact that they are so versatile is the cherry on top! Our next trip is in June (shark dives in Jupiter Fl), I am counting the days till I get to try them out in the water.
Thanks for making such a great product and having top notch customer service all while helping okie planet

For girls with round bums

A little bit about me. I'm 5 ft 4.5in tall and weigh 150 lbs. Full bust 38in, under bust 31in, waist 29in, full hip 43in, thighs 22in and calves 14.75 in. According to the size chart I should be a large. I purchased this in a size medium and it fits well. I'm not very wide in the hips and my bum has a lot of projection. They have great all-over stretch and feel pretty comfortable. I gave them four stars because I haven't warned them out in the field yet so I don't know how they perform.

Beautiful, but uncertain about fit.

I love Waterlust products and everything the brand stands for. At the same time, I always have trouble with fit. The sizes tend to run small. I usually end up needing a size or two larger than anything else I own and if they stretch too much across the butt, it makes underwear visible. Not a big deal if you are snorkeling, but if you want to wear them for yoga or other needs, that changes. The brand is so forward thinking from an environmental standpoint & clearly intends to be body-positive with their size names, but I'd like to see that translate better into their size range/fit. The color quality and style of the products is awesome and I love that it supports a cause. I just want to feel as good IN my tights as I do about the other aspects of the brand. Love the addition of the pockets.

Perfect for hiking

Wore these Tiger Shark Leggings as a base layer when I went to do a winter hike in the White Mountains. Fabric is fantastic as it moves with you and helps to wick moisture from the body. Love the design too! Stunning work and looks great!

Sitting atop the marine food pyramid, tiger sharks play a significant role in balancing the tropical and temperate water ecosystem, which is why we celebrate their beauty and support research that informs management of their population.

ADVOCATE APPAREL INSPIRED BY one of the ocean's largest predators,THE tiger SHARK (galeocerdo cuvier)

Shark Research and Conservation Program Logo10% of profits from your purchase will go directly toward the Shark Research and Conservation (SRC) Program at the University of Miami, helping to fund important research focused on the ecology, movement and conservation of tiger sharks as well as other local shark species. In addition to research, the SRC program is actively aimed at student education and community outreach through extensive citizen science and internship programs.

Tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier) are classified by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as “Near Threatened”, and thus, research, education and outreach is essential to ensuring healthy populations. As one of the ocean’s largest predators, these critical species sit at the top of the food chain, helping to regulate the delicate balance of populations of those beneath in the ecosystem. Decreased populations can result in trophic cascades, impacting the abundance and behavior of other species lower on the food chain. Multiple research methods have shown that some species of sharks have declined in population by 90% or more during the last several decades in areas where they were formerly abundant. These declines are due to direct targeting in commercial fisheries, mostly for their fins and sometimes meat. Additionally, sharks are often caught unintentionally as bycatch in many other fisheries, caught and killed in some recreational fisheries (unlike catch and release), and may also be impacted by humans more indirectly through threats like habitat loss, pollution, and human-driven declines in the fish species sharks rely on for food.

Sharks have been in the ocean for more than 450 million years. Granted, they’ve evolved a bit since then, but they’ve survived five major extinction events! Help us to celebrate these amazing animals, support research to inform management of their populations, and use your gear as a conversation piece to educate others.

Learn more about some of the research conducted by the Shark Research and Conservation Program. This Waterlust video explains the findings of a paper published in the scientific journal of Diversity and Distributions entitled "Use of marine protected areas and exclusive economic zones in the subtropical western North Atlantic Ocean by large highly mobile sharks."

The study investigated the core home habitat use of bull, great hammerhead and tiger sharks tagged in waters off south Florida and the northern Bahamas to understand if these highly mobile shark species might benefit from spatial protection, such as marine protected areas (MPAs).
