I am 5'5", 175lbs and I bought a medium. I was truly amazed by the durability and thickness of this swimsuit! Thickness puts it in between a regular swimsuit and a wetsuit. It feels amazing and is clearly very well made. My only very, very small thing I would mention is that I have a very short torso. The outside seams on the swimsuit feel like they could be taken in at most 1.5" (at most!). Other than the length being ever so slightly too long, I would recommend this swimsuit and brand to anyone. To those doubting the price, it well worth the money!
Perfect fit, beautiful design, got here faster than I expected.
I love this suit so much, this is one of the comfiest swimsuits ever and supports an amazing cause. I’m a US size 4 and the small fit perfectly. It also has great coverage and flexibility!
Tiger Shark Trailblazer Sun Suit
Ok, so I use the Tiger Shark Trailblazer sun suit in conjunction with the same leggings (and the board shorts if I’m snorkelling) when I’m diving… I do some seriously long recreational dives (3h +) as well as tec dives, in waters renowned for sizeable fish with very sharp teeth. My use of these garments is in the hope that on the off-chance, the ‘ensemble’ may offer some sort of WTF factor to said fish, before they attempt to sample its contents. Despite the sun suit being an unusual garment to be worn by members of the male diving community, I can say that certainly, in combination with the other Tiger Shark Trailblazer garments (for guys, it must never - NEVER - be worn on its own, despite that scenario possibly being the most effective all-round deterrent to most things living that one could imagine), it makes for a great top part to a two/three piece skin suit. The fabric and construction quality are great - comfortable and robust - and what I genuinely love most about it is that I need use the minimal amount of sunscreen… well worth the ‘curious’ looks the garments may cause! All-in-all, really happy with my purchase 🙂
Have the Whale Shark already and used it - together with the leggings - instead of a Neoprene Suit for Scuba diving (28C water temperature) and it was just perfect, so I decided to buy a second suit. The Tiger Shark is just as cool as the Whale Shark, very happy with my purchase. Even worth the costs for shipping and customs to Germany. BTW shipping was super fast, took less than a week after placing the order :)

Intimidating stripes cover one of the ocean’s largest apex predators. Sitting atop the marine food pyramid, tiger sharks play a significant roll in balancing the tropical and temperate water ecosystem, which is why we celebrate their beauty and support research that informs management of their population.

Tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier) are classified by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as “Near Threatened”, and thus, research, education and outreach is essential to ensuring healthy populations. As one of the ocean’s largest predators, these critical species sit at the top of the food chain, helping to regulate the delicate balance of populations of those beneath in the ecosystem. Decreased populations can result in trophic cascades, impacting the abundance and behavior of other species lower on the food chain. Multiple research methods have shown that some species of sharks have declined in population by 90% or more during the last several decades in areas where they were formerly abundant. These declines are due to direct targeting in commercial fisheries, mostly for their fins and sometimes meat. Additionally, sharks are often caught unintentionally as bycatch in many other fisheries, caught and killed in some recreational fisheries (unlike catch and release), and may also be impacted by humans more indirectly through threats like habitat loss, pollution, and human-driven declines in the fish species sharks rely on for food.

Sharks have been in the ocean for more than 450 million years. Granted, they’ve evolved a bit since then, but they’ve survived five major extinction events! Help us to celebrate these amazing animals, support research to inform management of their populations, and use your gear as a conversation piece to educate others.
Learn more about some of the research conducted by the Shark Research and Conservation Program. This Waterlust video explains the findings of a paper published in the scientific journal of Diversity and Distributions entitled "Use of marine protected areas and exclusive economic zones in the subtropical western North Atlantic Ocean by large highly mobile sharks."
The study investigated the core home habitat use of bull, great hammerhead and tiger sharks tagged in waters off south Florida and the northern Bahamas to understand if these highly mobile shark species might benefit from spatial protection, such as marine protected areas (MPAs).
