The unique scalation on their carapace, flippers and head makes the sea turtle a geometric wonder of patterns and colors. Our print features the earthy tones of Chelonia mydas, commonly known as the green sea turtle, a mysterious and charismatic nomad of tropical and subtropical seas around the planet.

A solitary species that rarely interacts with others outside of mating rituals, sea turtles struggle to survive from the day they hatch out of their egg. Sea turtle mortality rates are depressingly high, about 99% of juveniles will meet their demise before reaching sexual maturity.
6 out of the 7 species of sea turtles are listed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as either vulnerable or critically endangered. Marine turtles are threatened by pollution, marine plastics and debris, climate change, boat strikes, poaching and bycatch, and habitat loss.
The Marine Turtle Research, Ecology and Conservation Group addresses real-world issues related to the conservation and management of marine turtles and other marine megafauna. Their research is interdisciplinary and applied in nature, and focuses on questions related to the spatial ecology, and behavior of marine megafauna, particularly marine turtles, with the aim of advancing our understanding of the impacts that they face from cumulative and synergetic disturbances, and to determine how to systematically mitigate threats to maximize conservation outcomes.
“Waterlust support allows our lab to collect biological and ecological data on sea turtles both at their foraging and nesting areas, to inform their management and conservation.”

Sea Turtle Survivor Sun Suit
BEAUTIFUL and fits perfect ! Material is outstanding! Very pleased 🧜♀️
I waited about a year before writing this review so I could give a fair review. I cannot say enough good things about this swimsuit!! The quality of the suit blows the competition out of the water. I've worn this in pools, snorkeling, freediving, SCUBA, just hanging on the beach, and on some activities like climbing around waterfalls and hiking around a bit etc. After a year of use, the seams have not budged, the zipper is in great shape, the pattern has not faded, and the material has held it's shape. And the suit does NOT ride up!!!
Construction/Quality: This is the best quality fabric and construction I have come across. The plastic zipper in the back with the pull tie is so secure and well-constructed, very easy to get in and out of even when soaking wet. All the seams lie flat and the serging and stitching is very well done. It is more like wetsuit material than a common swimsuit, so I really feel good about the UPF rating. I typically would just wear a sports bra or other swim top underneath it, but you don't need to because the material is thick enough and it fits snugly.
Sizing: I am 5" 9" about 155lbs measurements B35" W28" H41" with a long torso and broader shoulders. I was on the fence about a M or a L but with the stretch fabric I am very very happy with the M. It is comfortable even for my long torso. It's a bit cheeky on the bottom but the coverage is still superior than other swimsuits (even boyshort styles that ride up the moment you take one step). But again the SUIT STAYS PUT, no wedgies here, even in the water or running around on the beach. I wish the neckline was slightly higher but that is a personal preference as I have a longer neck, also probably wouldn't be great for really short people, so not really a big deal.
GET ONE OF THESE SUITS!!!
I wore this on a cruise because I didn't want to spend all my time reapplying sunscreen. it is very well-made and comfortable. I bought a medium even though the model in my size was wearing a small, and it fits great (I am 5'8", 135 pounds). The neck is a little tight in the front, but that is because I am flat chested. Little details like the zipper cover at the top and the thumb holes in the sleeves make this a suit you can work in!
I'm 155 and 5' 6", I purchased a large and I love the fit! Not binding and not too loose. Covers my whole bottom. Room for a more supportive top underneath if I want. The sea turtle design is fantastic, and blends my bulges. I was concerned it would be flimsy, but it is not. I believe it will protect from the sun and minor stings in the water, it is not see through. I haven't worn it in the water yet, but I'm excited to do so!
This is Peter's wife. I do like the suit. Very well made. Quality fabric and design. At 5'6" 124 lbs, [long torso, flat chest] I ordered a 'S' which was WAY to tight, especially around the neck. I made a painless exchange for a "M" which arrived in days and it fits beautifully.. Enthusiastic recommend. Will be shopping here again.
