Our reversible tops are designed to keep up with all your adventures in and out of the water, whether you're engaging your inner mermaid at sea or your core on a yoga mat, and everywhere in between!
The unique scalation on their carapace, flippers and head makes the sea turtle a geometric wonder of patterns and colors. Our print features the earthy tones of Chelonia mydas, commonly known as the green sea turtle, a mysterious and charismatic nomad of tropical and subtropical seas around the planet. 5% of sales will be donated to The Florida State University Marine Turtle Research, Ecology and Conservation Group, led by Dr. Mariana Fuentes.
Our signature fabric is sleek, soft, and luxurious, while strong, substantial, and resilient. It's got a gummy, supportive, and smoothing stretchiness you'll love, comfortably hugging you in all the right places.
88% Repreve® RPET (recycled polyester made from post-consumer plastic bottles), 12% spandex
Safe, premium performance yarns: Our high-quality, fully traceable yarns are sourced through sustainable partners in the U.S. These materials meet rigorous chemical safety standards and are independently verified for over 1,000 harmful substances like BPA and PFAS through OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification.
High-quality, responsible printing: Our products are printed using heat transfer sublimation, a printing technique that is widely considered to be the safest for both workers and the environment. It requires no water, eliminates dye from entering water systems, and minimizes ink and fabric waste. All the inks and dyes we use are also OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified.
Recycled materials, minimal waste: Our commitment to environmental responsibility starts with sustainable fibers and yarns. We use synthetic yarns made from recycled plastic bottles, which helps remove and repurpose existing plastic.

A solitary species that rarely interacts with others outside of mating rituals, sea turtles struggle to survive from the day they hatch out of their egg. Sea turtle mortality rates are depressingly high, about 99% of juveniles will meet their demise before reaching sexual maturity.
6 out of the 7 species of sea turtles are listed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as either vulnerable or critically endangered. Marine turtles are threatened by pollution, marine plastics and debris, climate change, boat strikes, poaching and bycatch, and habitat loss.
“Waterlust support allows our lab to collect biological and ecological data on sea turtles both at their foraging and nesting areas, to inform their management and conservation.”

The Florida State University Marine Turtle Research, Ecology and Conservation Group
The Marine Turtle Research, Ecology and Conservation Group addresses real-world issues related to the conservation and management of marine turtles and other marine megafauna. Their research is interdisciplinary and applied in nature, and focuses on questions related to the spatial ecology, and behavior of marine megafauna, particularly marine turtles, with the aim of advancing our understanding of the impacts that they face from cumulative and synergetic disturbances, and to determine how to systematically mitigate threats to maximize conservation outcomes.
Overall I like the product. BUT, it is not the same as what is in the product images. The blue/green side has a ~1" visible hem of the shell pattern. There is also a very clear bottom elastic band that is not in the model pictures.
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to leave this review! We updated the design of our 2XL and 3XL reversible tops a couple of years ago based on a bunch of customer feedback about the fit and support in those sizes. These updates included additional fabric on the side and the elastic band at the bottom hem. Some of our prints show these design differences in the product pictures. We've been slowly updating prints here and there, but have not updated the pictures for all of our prints. So that is on us! We'll put the pedal to the metal on completing this update asap. Thanks again for sharing this feedback and customer experience with us!

I'm so happy that I bought this and I would happily buy it again! A few notes. The sizing chart put me at a large or extra large, but I often wear a 2XL so that's what I went with and it fit perfectly. It is definitely reversible and the flipper pattern is gorgeous, but the band is only in the shell pattern, so when it's on the reversible side you either have to fold the band up (I didn't like the feeling of that) or have some shell pattern showing (which I think is fine). I was able to run around with a toddler and go snorkeling in this top without any worries about a wardrobe malfunction. It's very wearable and secure and SO PRETTY.
Colors are vibrant and it fits as expected. Great for the gym!
