I am 5 ft 10 and 140 ish lbs. Most one pieces don't fit. This fits beautifully. It's even long enough in the arms. Magic!

Perfect except a bit ‘cheeky’

I love the sleeves and other features of this suit, though I was a bit surprised that the butt coverage is very minimal compared to other suits I have. I typically wear a full coverage prana bottom and this covers only half as much. I guess it’s a cuteness consideration when you’ve got your arms , chest and back covered completely? In any case, I’m ignoring that because I like the suit and it’s comfortable to swim in. If I wasn’t so covered in the other areas, though, I’d never wear such a skimpy butt. Have so far only worn at home for laps. Likely to wear with board shorts at the public beach.

Abalone in XX legendary

I’m a full figured gal who hates wearing sunscreen. I purchased the sun suit and leggings in Abalone in xxl to give me full sun protection in the Hawaiian sunshine. I’m 5’5’’ and 225 lbs, and the fit is not too tight and the suit gives me full booty coverage, which I like. If you like things to fit snugly, size down. The quality is fantastic right out of the package- this is well made and worth the money, in my opinion. I am stoked to be supporting marine protection efforts with my purchase as well. Looking forward to living in this suit in Hawaii next month!

Love the abalone look

I thought no the suit is very pretty although the neckline chokes me and I have returned the suit. If the design is changed, I would like to buy the same suit.

The perfect swimsuit for people with sensitive skin!

I hate sunscreen as my skin reacts poorly to it, but I'm not a fan of tanning or getting burned in the least, so this suit was perfect! I love that its made mostly of recycled bottles and covers my upper body to reduce the use of sunscreen. Now both my Mom and my husband want swimwear from this site as well! Probably going to be making another order here soon!

ADVOCATE APPAREL INSPIRED BY The sassy sea snail

Abalone is the common name for a variety of marine snails that are found throughout the world’s oceans. Sought after for their meat and their beautiful shells, populations have declined rapidly and some species are now critically endangered. Our relationship with abalone illustrates the challenges of overexploitation of the marine environment. Until the 1980’s, it was widely thought that abalone populations were resilient and could effectively rebound from harvesting activities. Unfortunately, that has not proven to be true.

Abalone are “broadcast spawners,” meaning that two individuals must be within three feet of one another to sexually reproduce. This type of reproduction makes population recovery very challenging, driving the need for humans to intervene. Marine biologist Nancy Caruso is doing just that, and founded Get Inspired, a non-profit organization that specializes in marine conservation & education.

Besides physically growing juvenile abalone along California’s coast and populating them back into the coastal kelp forest marine habitat, Nancy recognizes that protecting the ocean in the future requires educating children today. That is why she has launched a 10 year initiative to grow 100,000 abalone in classrooms across the golden state and restore them along the southern California coast, inspiring and utilizing the help of the next generation of scientists along the way. 10% of profits from your purchase will be donated to this restoration effort.
