SpongeBob Bikini Bottom Reversible Top

Educational resources & donation included with every purchase. Learn more.

SpongeBob was created by marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg, who used art to teach kids about the marine species and ecosystems around them. With its origin in marine science education, the series has always had a deep-rooted connection to the sea. This connection led Paramount and Nickelodeon to launch SpongeBob SquarePants: Operation Sea Change, a global conservation and sustainability initiative to help protect the home of the very creatures that inspired Bikini Bottom. We created this collection in partnership with Paramount Consumer Products to support the Operation Sea Change initiative as well as advocate for the importance of art in inspiring environmental stewardship.

Advocate Apparel Inspired by the Bikini Bottom Ecosystem

The SpongeBob SquarePants creative team did such an incredible job designing the ecosystem of Bikini Bottom with its distinctive bright colors, iconic flower-shaped clouds, and buoyant mood that our team wanted to embody it when designing the SpongeBob Bikini Bottom collection. Although a fictional world, Bikini Bottom and its citizens are inspired by real underwater critters and places, many of which can be found in the intertidal zone.

Besides being huge fans of the show for its creativity, positivity, and forward-thinking themes, we love SpongeBob SquarePants as an example of how art can support environmental science and conservation. Art can provide an opportunity to instill emotion and humanity into science communication while maintaining its scientific integrity. Art can speak for animals, ecosystems, and communities who may not be able to speak for themselves. Art can transform apathy into enthusiasm, enthusiasm into action, and action into change. And in special cases when an artistic expression becomes widely popular like the animated adventures of a charismatic sponge, it can inspire an entire generation.

Love it so much

It's cute, it's comfy, it's functional (keeps the girls in place while doing high-intensity cardio), it's spongebob-tastic, it brings me joy. It makes me look and feel like 100% bucks (don't tell Mr. Krabs). Love it!!!

Would be perfect if it had cups.

This is such a cute and nice top. I love the way it feels and it fits just about perfectly. I just wish it had a bra cup in the fabric or at least the ability to insert one so that whenever I got even slightly cold, my nipples wouldn’t poke through.

Not made for large busts :(

I really, really wanted to love this top, but it just isn't designed with large busts in mind. I'm a 32H and tried the M (the size recommended by the chart), L, and XL and none of them can be worn without a sports bra underneath (lest there be spillage under or over the cup). I felt like if I went up to XXL, it would just be too loose to actually keep anything contained.

I ended up keeping the L and will just wear a bra underneath, but I feel like that kind of defeats the purpose, ya know?

The perfect scuba top

The best top for water activities. Don’t have to worry about nip slips, comfort, etc. I have a couple of these tops that always get compliments when I scuba dive on vacation, can’t wait to take this one to Hawaii in February ✨🥰
