Great Rash Guard!

I love this rash guard from the quality to the design. However, the material isn't quite comfortable on me when I'm in and out of the water all day working. I know WL is always evolving to meet the customer's needs, so possibly it has changed since I first got mine. But if the rash guard were anything like the Sun suits, I would buy one in every print!

The rash guard fits quite long, which isn't flattering on me, especially when wet. I like the flexibility and the thumb holes, but the general fit is pretty unflattering (belly button, nips, etc show thru very easily)

I originally tried to get the swim top in this print to go with my whale shark leggings (that I love btw) but couldn’t get the fit right. I’m short with a bigger bust so they just didn’t work out. I went with the rash guard instead and am happy with the fit. I love the fabric of the waterlust brand, it’s almost hard to describe but it feels super nice!

The rash guard is really nice, I would like it slightly shorter as it is a bit long over the hips for me. I am 161 cm tall and ordered a size S. Otherwise it's a great product and I am happy to have the complete set with leggings and top.

The shirt material was really silky and comfortable in and out of the water. Well made, and it was perfect for my trip to Mexico. We snorkeled every day and needed sun protection, as they ask you not to wear sunscreen to protect the reefs. It held up great! Another reviewer said the light blue might be see through, and I don't really think it was, but then again, I wore this over a bathing suit, so it didn't much matter.

Great shirt for visibility while diving. Easy to put on, true to size. Love the material. If you have to wear a wet suit this helps them slide on easily and keeps you warm as a bottom layer.

Brought my rash guard to Costa Rica I have been using it at the beach and I love it! 90 degree weather, 100% humidity... I did have to exchange my original Medium to a Small and it fits like a glove. For sizing reference I’m 36C 5’5” 130lbs.

ADVOCATE APPAREL INSPIRED BY THE LARGEST FISH IN THE SEA,THE WHALE SHARK (RHINCODON TYPUS)

Marine Megafauna Foundation LogoWhale sharks (Rhincodon typus) are fish, not whales - allowing them to hold the esteemed title of "largest fish in the sea" (since sharks are fish too!). These charismatic creatures can reach lengths of 12 meters (40 feet) or more! Despite their large size, they feed on some of the smallest organisms in the sea, plankton. Hanging vertically in the water column they're able to suction feed and filter these tiny organisms through their gill rakers much like a giant vacuum cleaner pulls dust and dirt from a kitchen floor, filtering the fragments into its chamber within. Unfortunately, approximately 100 million sharks are killed every year by humans, through direct targeted fishing efforts as well as unintended bycatch from other fisheries. The whale shark is one species of shark that is particularly vulnerable to this commercial fishing due to their high value in international trade, in addition to their highly migratory nature and normally low abundance.

Research into the lives of these gentle giants can help us to manage their populations and keep these magnificent fish in the ocean where they belong. The Marine Megafauna Foundation is one group that is helping to shed light on the population structure, migratory patterns and the conservation requirements of these threatened sharks. Created in 2009, they aim to research, protect and conserve the large populations of marine megafauna (large marine species) found along the Mozambican coastline. Almost all whale sharks encountered by divers are juveniles and most are males. Where the school-bus-sized mature sharks swim, what they eat and where the females give birth has long been a mystery, however their team is now very close to making these discoveries. 10% of profits from your purchase will go to the Marine Megafauna Foundation for satellite tags that are needed to track the movements of these large female whale sharks.
